Lommerrijk, Straatweg 99, Rotterdam, ZH, 3054 AB, Netherlands.

When you have your own business it can feel like freedom. You want the freedom to change the world bringing value and impact to the people or companies you want to work with. But running your own business isn’t easy. Access to information can be overwhelming or unavailable. And sometimes it even feels a bit lonely. This event is designed to accomplish three things 1) help you gain the information you need, 2) start applying that information RIGHT AWAY, and 3) gain and grow a community that understands and supports you.

Who’s this for? Women who want to make a change whether it’s in business or society, you believe a change must happen and you’re the one to deliver it. Plus, you aren’t afraid to cause a little trouble along the way. We’re not talking about breaking any laws. We’re talking about writing your own rules and following your own path. You’re not like anyone else. And you know this. You’re completely off the corporate path that so many people you know are taking. Or you’re in the process of leaving that world.

What is it? It’s boot camp meets hackathon, for people at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey. Are you just forming the idea and looking for help to mold it, maybe even looking for a partner? Or have you started your business and now facing the struggle to get everything in order?  We will help you get out of your head and form the business you’ve been dreaming of.  We’ll pair you with people in a similar space as you, speaking to experts who will help you understand how to get things off the ground faster. Each workshop will give you actionable steps to apply to your business the next day or even the same day if you are so motivated

Wait, are you way past all of that and trying to sustain the growth you are creating? The challenges you face are far different from the issues you had when you started 4+ years ago. You’ve grown a lot and often in painful ways but you are past the beginner stage. Your experience will be more intimate with other women at your level struggling with the same issues you are facing. We’ll deep dive into topics that many people at your level are trying to overcome. You’ll spend the day gaining the knowledge about what you need to get things going for your business. From the practical nitty-gritty to managing your inner critic (just tell her to sit down).

Are you a member of Female Ventures, Wize Move Society, The Break Fellowship, WEnnovate, Here 2 Start communities? Please use the code that applies to you for a 20% community savings. Codes are: femaleventures20, wizemove20, thebreak20, here2start, wennovate20.

Come prepared to take action! Bring your curiosity and desire to grow your business. We'll take care of the rest. From parking, food, session materials, and an outdoor space for inspiration, we've got you covered. Join us at the beautiful and inspiring Lommerrijk in Rotterdam. Easily reached by train, tram, bike, and car.

With a base now in Amsterdam, after two decades in London, Lulu’s portfolio includes collaborations with major international brands. Her creative role in award-winning projects for giants like Disney, Mattel, Hasbro, and Playstation has solidified her status in the industry. As the co-founder of Storytime in the UK in 2014, she has been instrumental in its rise from a fast-growing children’s magazine to a successful international brand of stories. Storytime stands out in its sector with an impressive library of over 900 stories in multiple formats. With readers in over 60 countries and a licensing lineup that’s inspires indie mags everywhere, Storytime is the poster child for a rockin’ business model and a growth story that’s as inspiring as the tales it tells. At the heart of her work is a belief that we are all made of stories. Her lifelong passion for storytelling and illustration, coupled with a commitment to literacy and sharing of diverse, inclusive content, are the fundamentals of Storytime. These principles resonate in her role as a speaker and mentor, where she emphasises the transformative power of narratives. Lulu has become a leading voice for creatives starting their own publications, an industry famous for being traditional and non-inclusive. Lulu is also a staunch advocate for education as a universal right and Storytime operates partly as a social enterprise to ensure inclusivity and literacy are available for all. Lulu believes that knowledge should be free-flowing and boundless, empowering individuals from all walks of life to write their own stories. She has always had trouble fitting in the conventional scripts for women in her industry, so she made sure crafted her own inspiring story. Her ambition extends to empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs to leave their mark on the world. To create change, we must first become the change, so let’s make some trouble.

Nerdy techie but with a strong belief that technology is and should be about people, not tools. And those tools should be safe to use and able to protect your data, so you can focus on the things that matter. In my spare time I like to rock out at a concert or behind a drum kit. Plentiful

I was born to be a professional feminist and actually spent 7 years at university to become one. Then, life happened and I went into the private sector where I worked in international business development roles for over 10 years, enjoying a mix of commercial and marketing development and building growth from the ground up. As a T shaped person with a passion for anything that has to do with building relationships with people and entrepreneurship, I started immersing myself in startup and small business ecosystems in the early 2000s. I have supported small companies grow in many ways until I finally was able to focus on my own business, having been able to pinpoint the 1 idea I really wanted to focus on. I have always been driven by advancing women's rights and making somewhat of an impact in our world, especially today. Today, I am a freelancer supporting businesses grow in emerging markets (especially Africa) and I am currently founding Plentiful, a business centered around supporting women to improve their personal finance and overall money management. Today, Plentiful is a mixed media resource where I host both a baby podcast and a newsletter. Tomorrow, plentiful will provide services to women who want to take ownership of their money and build financial freedom via events, dedicated support and a few other exciting things! I like a business simple, lean and practical and so will be our training on this exciting day!

Founder
The BD School

I'm Lucia, founder of The BD School, the leading platform for business development education. Before this, I was a Business Development Manager for a SaaS company, with 9 successful years in BD. However, things took a downturn: my emails were ignored, my manager didn't trust me, and I had no influence on the BD process. My confidence plummeted, and I realized I needed a change. Searching online, I found many BD pros with similar struggles but no solutions. So, I decided to create one. Thus, The BD School was born—a place to learn, connect, and grow in business development I enjoy working with ambitious entrepreneurs who see in business development the key to their success. I'm looking forward to sharing what I know with you all!

Girl Code and ANWB

Ineke is the founder of Girl Code and she is the Senior Lead Developer of her team and Solution Architect at ANWB. Her career path (she didn't start programming until 2017 and retrained to be a full stack JavaScript developer in just three months) and founding Girl Code has earned her several awards and recognitions. That's how she became, for example one of Opzij’s 100 Most Influential Women in the Netherlands and in the Top 10 Tech three times in a row. When she is not programming for ANWB, she closes the gender gap in code with her community Girl Code by organizing events and offering women programmers -and therefore role models- a stage. With doing this she creates awareness for the gender gap (that is why men are also allowed to come), she tries to close it, hopes to get more women enthusiastic about the profession and to keep women who are already doing it enthusiastic too (because that is sometimes difficult when you are in a field still dominated by men). With her studies and experience, Ineke is not only an expert in Women in Tech, but also an expert in the field of D&I, role models and personal leadership. Making trouble by always being outspoken and speaking her mind exactly like it is.
